Margo is an experienced practitioner who works with individuals and couples that are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, sexual, emotional or intimacy issues. Her approach with couples is underpinned by her belief that romantic partnerships are the most precious relationships we have and need to be nurtured to thrive and flourish. She encourages people to break free of negative conflict, repair trust, improve communication and find renewed passion.

Prior to training as a therapist, Margo worked in the corporate environment, and as a result she understands how modern working life can cause stressors that impact individuals and their relationships with both themselves and others. Her approach is systemic, solution-focused and tailored to each individual’s needs and desires. Her aim is to help her clients become aware of and change negative, unhealthy patterns of relating, into positive, connected relationships that bring joy, meaning and fulfillment.
Margo has trained in Family Therapy, Gottman Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), BT, and Neuro-linguistic programming. She has completed post-graduate studies in counselling, specialising in female sexual desire, cultural issues, trauma, domestic abuse and grief at the University of Auckland. In addition, Margo is a trained Hypnotherapist, has gained work experience in DARA (World class drug and alcohol residential treatment centre), CADS (Community Alcohol and Drugs Services), Family Action (Sexual Abuse and Trauma Counselling), ProCare (group facilitator running Stop Smoking workshops for organisations throughout Auckland).
